Xtreme Gaming defeated the opponent of the Tidebound team at the Asian Champions League, the tournament played the role of a Chinese qualifying for the Esports World Cup 2025.
The leading DOTA 2 team Xtreme Gaming officially participated in the Esports World Cup 2025 (EWC 2025) after winning the 2025 Asian Champions League championship, the tournament was chosen as the Chinese qualifying round for the main event.
Asian Champions League is organized by ESL Gaming, Dreamhack and Hero Esports, which takes place directly at the National Exhibition & Conference Center, Shanghai. Unlike most other tournaments, this event takes place very quickly: only encapsulated in one day with 4 teams participating in the game in a short stream.
As expected, Xtreme and Team TideBound - the two strongest representatives in China - both participated. Although Xtreme is not really the lower door, their victory still has many meanings, especially when TideBound (newly acquired by All Gamers Global) has just been awarded directly to The International (Ti) 2025.
At the Asian Champions League, Xtreme surpassed the Tidebound 3 2 in the final, received 100,000 USD of the bonus and, more importantly, firmly grasped the EWC 2025 with a total prize of up to $ 3 million.
It seems that the recent personnel changes - once made Xtreme lose the ESL One Raleigh 2025 ticket - finally brought sweet fruits. The victory over Tidebound is also a powerful signal for the upcoming TI area of TI 2025, where Xtreme is considered the number one candidate in China.
Xtreme Gaming is the sixth team to win tickets to EWC 2025 content Dota 2
This victory helped Xtreme join the list of longer and the teams that were present at EWC 2025, including Parivision, Team Spirit, Betboom Team, Team Falcons, Team Liquid and Gainmin Gladiators.
There are still ripe drums for the tournament in Riyadh. The last three positions in the Top 10 ESL Pro Tour (EPT) rankings will receive a direct invitation ticket, expected to be determined after the upcoming Dreamleague Season 26.
The remaining six will be decided through regional qualifiers (except China has been completed): Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Meswa, Southeast Asia, North America and South America. These qualifiers take place from 5 to 13 June.
The Dota 2 content of EWC 2025 will take place from July 8 to 19 at Boulevard Riyadh City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; is the final stage of the ESL Pro Tour system this season with a bonus of $ 3 million.
